In what sadly turned out to be his last televised interview, the great British Director Ken Russell meets up with the artist Sir Peter Blake for an informal chat. This was, of course, not the first time the two had met: Blake was one of the subjects of Russell’s early, great documentaries for the BBC’s Monitor arts show, with 1962’s Pop Goes The Easel. Seeing these two fascinating old talents discuss their incredible lives is a real treat, making one wish the media had paid more attention to Russell in his final years.
